The Law of the Oxen
I was fascinated to find out that Chabad started sending out shiurim on different subjects, e.g., the Parsha of the week. While I was listening to this shiur, I subscribed to it so I can receive them as they are issued. These shiurim, as with other Chabad writings, not only touches on the biblical aspect of the law, but relates it to modern day usage. Please keep up the great work of providing such great educational tools!

Mishpatim --The goring ox
I was so thankful for this message--I have a farm and it is very difficult because so many extra Torah laws apply to us than to the more "normative" city-bound Orthodox Jews. Thank you for including this for us! We are observant and we do our best to make sure that all we do is appropriately kosher in haSh-m's eyes. This sometimes makes it difficult as there are many intricacies involved inhalacha as it pertains to livestock. Again, thank you! Todah Raba!

Many of the tractates in the Talmud that deal with Jewish civil and damage laws are based on verses in this week's Torah portion -- Parshat Mishpatim. This class gives a deeper look at one of these laws: The goring Ox.  (37:44)
