At What Age?
Respecting parents begins when the child becomes aware of his/her behaviour. From a very young age children should learn not to throw things at their parents or to sit in their parents' chairs.

This does not preclude a loving and playful relationship, it simply enhances the love with respect. If children are not taught respect at the youngest age they will not likely learn it later.

Shiur
Dear Rabbi Gurkow,

Thank you for this wonderful shiur. At what age should a child be expected to follow these fine attributes of respecting and fearing parents?
