This website is great...
to the person who asked the origin of dreidle is that when the greek syrian army didn't want jews to practice judaism, the jewish people would still practice it. But, the greek syrian army would come to check on the jewish people to make sure they weren't practicing it. The jewish people would pull out a dreidel and pretend to just be playing a gambling game...instead of studing the Torah and practicing judaism.

This is the first year that my children are really having a bright and great Chanuka. They are playing games , helping us to light the candles, and I´m introducingo this site for them. Thanks
